    Sylvia Young Theatre School is currently recruiting for the following positions.

     

    Experienced SCHOOL NURSE

    Required January 2019

    Permanent, Full time

    Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

    Our client is a specialist performing arts school offering excellent vocational and academic education. Our central London location, well-served by public transport, allows us to draw students across the south-east and the wider UK. The School is non-denominational and co-educational. The students range from 10 to 16 years of age. We are a small school of around 250 students and value our 'family atmosphere'.

     

    We are looking for an experienced Registered General nurse for a January start who can deal with a range of health issues and give support to both personal and emotional concerns. The School Nurse will also have an administrative role and be responsible for boarding students and host families. Currently we have 13 boarders with 5 host families. It is essential that the School Nurse has proficient I.T. skills. A competitive salary is on offer commensurate with this important role within this highly regarded performing arts school.

    Experienced DRAMA TEACHER

    Experienced, energetic Drama teacher for our part time school in Marble Arch.

    Days: Thursday and Saturday

    Time: 4.30pm-7.30pm. (Thursday classes)

    Time: 9.10am-4.55pm. (Saturday classes)

    Age: 4-18yrs

    Drama classes are based on improvisation and general stagecraft. Lessons should develop acting skills through devising scenes, creating characters and scripted.

    An 11 week term with a half term break. Three terms a year.

    Experienced SINGING TEACHER

    Experienced, energetic Singing teacher for our part time school in Marble Arch.

    Day: Saturday

    Time: 9.30am-3.50pm. (Thursday classes)

    Age: 4-18yrs

    Singing classes aim to develop technique and repertoire and cover both popular music of the moment and musical theatre.

    An 11 week term with a half term break. Three terms a year.

    Experienced SINGING TEACHER

    Experienced, energetic Singing teacher for our full time school in Marble Arch.

    Day: Thursday & Friday

    Time: 8.45am-4.00pm.

    Age: 10-16yrs

    Singing classes aim to develop technique and repertoire and cover both popular music of the moment and musical theatre.

    General cover staff

    Experienced, energetic cover staff in Drama, Singing, Dance for our full time / part time schools in Marble Arch.

    Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (depending on day and role)

    Time: 8.45am-7.30pm. (depending on day and role).
